Not yet excluding parked domains or any other type of content or placements not suitable for your business?

Most accounts we see on a daily basis are not excluding parked domains in their accounts. And this is one of the easiest ways to cut unnecessary costs in Google Ads.

Stop wasting your budget on low-quality placements.

As from October 2024, for new Google Ads accounts, this is something you have to select if you want your ads to show on parked domains. But for older accounts this is something that is applied by default to all accounts, meaning that your ads may be showing in parked domains unless you already opted out.

Parked domains are those domains that are "currently not in use". Well...many of them, those which serve ads,...they are indeed being used to make money out of you, poor advertiser.

Well, luckily there is a way to exclude these parked domains in your Google Ads account.

On Google Ads interface, click on Tools > Content suitability

Then click on Advanced Settings > Excluded types and labels

To exclude parked domains, you jus have to check the Parked domains check-box.

Don't forget to take a look at other types and labels that you might want to exclude to avoid wasting your budget.

Check your PMax Campaign Placements report to see where your ads showed.
