The information that google ads gives about your competitors is not complete. It doesn't show all competitors and KPIs in numbers compared to your account, something you can get in Dolnai.

As a SEM Manager, I ask you, how many times have you wanted to have more information about your Google Ads competitors?

I'm talking about real, numerical information, not the approximations that other tools often make up, which I'd better not talk about.

But rather real data, from each and every one of the competitors that have appeared in your account with a wide variety of numerical data from which you can draw conclusions to start strategic actions.

In today's video, we are going to talk about the TOP Competitors algorithm, where you will get complete, truthful and up-to-date information about the activity of all your competitors regarding your account. Data on the period you want to analyze and that you can compare with your KPIs.

To see this information we must go to the Competitors > TOP Competitors section.

At the top, we have the Queries, Impressions, and Impression Share of your account in the period analyzed that we can see on the left side of the screen.

In the table below we can see all the competitors of the account in this period with several KPIs that I will explain next. This way, you can have a clearer view of their activity and keep all of them on your radar.

Each row is a competitor, ordered by the highest number of impressions in which you have coincided, we know this metric as overlap:

  • Impressions refer to the number of times they have appeared on the user's screen before searches where some of your keywords were eligible.
  • The Position Above shows the impressions where the competitor appears above you and you also appear.
  • Outrank: number of impressions in which you appear above the competitor (he may or may not have appeared)
  • Top of page: the competitor occupies the first positions of the results
  • Absolute. Top of Page: the competitor occupies the first position.

With all this data, you will better understand your position with respect to the competition and who poses a greater threat.

We hope you enjoyed the video and that you are encouraged to try it out with your account.
